What’s the Fashion Foundry?

The ‘All-In’ Founder. You’re riding the 916 express from Concept to Creation! Collections are crafted with purpose, we design with you, develop your vision, manufacture through our trusted factories or yours, and handle everything in between. Within our 916 Fashion Foundry, you get the full works hands-on support, strategic guidance, and the power to push your brand to new heights. It’s a full-time gig, but hey, building something great always is!

At 916 we design and deliver x4 times a year. Please consider designing your collection a year in advance so that you have enough time for sampling and manufacturing.
Includes: Full guidance from collection design and tech, fittings, introduction to factories and setup, factory communication from the initial sample through to manufacturing, critical path management, best practices, merchandising guidance, raising orders and management of shipments. Please enquire for full details.

Merchandising.

When you become part of the fashion foundry on the design programme you get x1 consultation per each collection to review your range plan with suggested costs considering all the development fees and competitor market. If you need more assistance we will put you in contact directly with our 916 merchandising network.

Design and Tech Pack services:

At 916 we design x4 times a year, we take the time to understand you and your brand to design your next iconic collection. Please consider designing your collection a year in advance so that you have enough time for sampling and manufacturing. Maybe you already have your designs and you just need your tech packs. A tech pack is a comprehensive document that acts as a blueprint for garment production, outlining every detail needed for a manufacturer to create a product, from design sketches to fabric specifications. 

Please enquire at least a month in advance. Design and tech packs are based on the number of styles per collection. Enquire for more info.

Manufacturing:

If you join The Fashion Foundry, you will get full access to our trusted supplier base. We can assist sampling and manufacturing guidance through your factory or one of our 916 factories. You will be on copy of all communication to have full transparency of the supply chain and you can learn along the way. See in real time how it all works from concept to creation . 

We are constantly onboarding new factories, and this takes time! We undergo a huge process to make sure we can hook you up with the best in the business. From Asia to Europe we are constantly building a list of excellent suppliers.

Fittings:

You have your samples! A "fitting" or "fit session" is the process of trying on garments to ensure they fit perfectly and meet the desired aesthetic and functionality. This crucial step occurs at various stages, from initial design to final presentation, helping designers and clients refine the garment's fit, style, and construction. At 916 we fit on live models at our studio on standard fit models in line with your brand, maybe your customer has an athletic build or plus size? Let us know so we find the right model for you. Once the fit session is complete, 916 will provide you with work books detailing construction details and any changes which we can then relay on to our factories or yours!

We provide ample time to develop your collection with care and precision, so you’re fully prepared for launch. Once your goods are delivered, the release strategy is entirely up to you as the founder. You decide how and when to bring your products to market.

Working on a seasonal calendar, we offer the flexibility to adapt to your brand’s unique needs. Whether you want to release a few SKUs or an extensive collection, you have the freedom to scale your launches as you see fit.
